We specialize in servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment, such as Daikin Comfort, Daikin Applied, Aermec, and various other products. Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Journeyperson HVAC/R Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team.  The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of chillers, modular heat pumps, hydronic systems, VRV/VRF systems, design, controls, and building systems. The candidate must also have the ability to review mechanical schematics and shop drawings to a sufficient level.

 

Responsibilities:

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this role. The tasks and time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require. Olympic International maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion.  The range of specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Diagnose, service, and repair complex HVAC and hydronic systems, including chillers, ASHPs, WSHPs, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, pumps, fan coils, and RTU etc.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and DDC control systems to resolve system faults and optimize overall building performance.
  • Execute planned maintenance and lead emergency response activities, including system shutdowns and startups.
  • Independently assess failures, develop corrective action plans, source components, and deliver first-time fixes ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical leadership through clear communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the Olympic Sales team on service and warranty matters.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, organization, and efficiency while utilizing Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Skills and Competencies:

Required
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical schematics and shop drawings.
  • Understanding of sales processes.

Educational Requirements:

Education, Licenses and/or Certification, Experience Required
  • Red Seal Journeyman certification in HVAC/R with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
